of. Dumfries and Galloway. Until 2003 we
were an independent club affiliated to the CTC.
We are now a CTC Members' Group
If you need cycle-touring advice, we can provide that to you
or contact Dumfries
& Galloway Tourist Board.
We also have an interest in Campaigning, locally and through
contacts with other campaigning groups such as Spokes

JOHN TAYLOR Memorial Ride 100 miles(Provisional date Sat 19 June 2010)
John Taylor, the Secretary of the CTC
Dumfries and Galloway, died 13 July 2009, following a 2 year
struggle with cancer.
With Florrie's blessing, we are planning a Memorial Ride, 100 miles,
and we are hoping John's friends and CTC members will participate.
John was a tireless and dedicated
worker for cycling, and
every summer he completed a 100 mile ride as a personal challenge.
The route was a particular favourite, starting from Castle Douglas,
and includes Keir, Drumlanrig and the Dalveen Pass to Abington
In the spirit of John's cycling, the route will be ridden as a Group and will pass Barnsoul, venue of recent KM Rally.
So let's pay a tribute to John and make this a successful outing. Details will become available soon and all enquiries to Tom Hanley, as above
